The successful candidate will join the Resolution Services team and be involved in the implementation, and operation of Afilias' global content delivery platform, and the management of DNS services for Afilias' portfolio of Top Level Domains.

-          Performs protocol-level troubleshooting and diagnosis of DNS problems

-          Monitors, measures and mitigates denial-of-service and other unwanted network traffic

-          Provides operational support for the measurement and classification of production service traffic

-          Participates in ongoing design exercises to improve the capabilities of the content-delivery platform

-          Acts as an expert resource in the fields of Internet security, inter-domain routing, network and system administration, anycast service delivery and DNS for other groups within the company.

-          Acts as a network and system administrator for Afilias' content-delivery platform, performs hardware maintenance, installations of new locations, creates and maintains documentation

-          Provide an escalation resource for the Afilias NOC for issues relating to the production content-delivery platform.

-          Participate in network operations conferences and other industry forums.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required

-          design, code, test, document and make modifications

-          maintain and provide ideas for enhancements to existing code

-          prepare test data, conduct test verification and document test cases guide

-          transfer knowledge to new programmers

 Work environment: daily work on a personal computer, frequently carries a mobile phone during non-working hours, normal office environment, may be able to work from home sometime, required to work outside of normal working hours.
